Editorial Policy

Open access policy
Masquedos maintains its commitment to the policies of Open Access to scientific information, considering that both scientific publications and research financed with public funds must circulate on the Internet freely, free of charge and without restrictions. No expenses or fees are charged for publishing articles. This journal is based on the principle that offering the public free access to research helps a greater global exchange of knowledge, adhering to those established in the BOAI (2002).

Intellectual property policy
All articles published in Masquedós are globally available with open access and licensed under the terms of the Creative Commons “Attribution - NonCommercial - ShareAlike CC BY-NC-SA” license. This means that it is possible to copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly communicate their content, and create derivative works as long as the authors are cited. The content of this journal cannot be used for commercial purposes. Adaptations and derivative works must be shared under the same terms. The full license can be consulted here.
Additionally, the authors accept the transfer of rights to Masquedós for the publication of their texts but retain their intellectual property. The journal allows authors to mention and self-archive the published articles on other sites, such as web pages or institutional repositories, social networks, etc., as long as the original article is properly cited.

Digital preservation policy
Masquedós utilizes the OJS/PKP system to create a distributed archive among participating libraries, enabling them to create permanent journal archives for preservation and restoration purposes.
Furthermore, as a backup for the OJS/PKP platform, this journal safeguards its files through the University of the National Center of the Province of Buenos Aires (UNICEN) server system. The supports used for "backup copies" are hard drives, and these operations are managed by the General Directorate of Informatics.
The platform has daily data backup procedures for files and configurations. Backup copies are made to hard drives using a RAID 1 configuration with two disks. Another copy is stored on a remote backup server located in a physically separate location from the main server. This copy is performed every 12 hours, without compression or encryption. Backups are conducted daily and are retained approximately every 1 month on separate hard drives stored in different locations.
Masquedós is also stored and cataloged in the Digital Library of University Extension (BEU) and is part of the Institutional Digital Open Access Repository (RIDAA) of UNICEN.

All articles submitted to this publication will be monitored through an online search and through plagiarism detection software (PaperRater, Articlechecker and Plagiarisma)
