Many different spaces of reflection and collective discussions have collaborated to generate minimum agreements on a common view about university extension and the development of university social commitment.
These experiences are diverse, and the possibility of analyzing, debating and criticizing them is what allows us to improve the links between higher education institutions and different social actors. These connections contribute to the development of fairer and more equitable societies.
The Territorial Extent Points and the implementation of comprehensive training paths called Socio-educational Practices, are two of the most recent experiences of the National University of the Center of the Province of Buenos Aires (UNICEN), that move forward towards a university model based on Social Commitment.
This paper reflects on these methodologies, currently implemented at UNICEN, from their theoretical-methodological foundations and the ethical-political intentions of their implementation, from a critical perspective.
