Internship programs are increasingly required at various levels of higher education as a hierarchical and planned core curriculum area where students can put into practice the necessary knowledge and skills. In this context, this paper proposes to analyze the experience of setting up this curricular space: professional training courses belonging to the Specialization and Master's Degree in Urban Social Policies of the University of Tres de Febrero. Moreover, the article pursues two objectives: on the one hand, to account for the particularities of the experience of the curricular space considering the regulations that frame it, the theoretical perspectives that sustain it and the teaching devices designed to accompany an internship program from a constructivist, situated and reflective standpoint. Another aim is to approach the intervention and the transfer product (social technology, specific procedures, inputs). The article concludes by highlighting the relevance of promoting the possibility for students to construct intervention problems that are influenced by their interests, professional identity and previous experiences. It also stresses the importance of carrying out knowledge transfer as a form of extension of the university to society.
