This article aims to socialize the experience of the university extension project called "The promotion of knowledge and actions in the care of sexual and (non) reproductive health in women from Villa la Punta-Santiago del Estero". The aim was to promote a process of analysis, reflection, problematization and specific training on the subject from a gender perspective through a diagnostic approach. The methodological proposal was participatory, based on popular education for its capacity to develop pedagogical proposals that encourage collective teaching and learning processes that respect feelings and thoughts. Likewise, it was addressed from an ethnographic perspective not only for entering the field, recovering central concepts such as the native perspective and the functions of language in understanding social phenomena, but also for the construction of the report and the field notebook. The experience with the topics addressed is presented, such as gender relations and their impact on daily life, sexual and (non) reproductive rights, and violence against women. This allows us to arrive at some results such as inequalities in gender relations, violence against women's bodies and, consequently, difficulties in caring for their health.
