The report aims to address the reasons why the concept of extension, naturalized in national universities prevailed for decades, as well as the opportunities that are offered by critically analyzing this situation and proposing practical alternatives. Beyond the theoretical aspects that support it and that are in constant modeling, there are internal and external difficulties to carry out projects in a framework of critical extension.
