The purpose of this work is to claim the value University Extension has, and it aims to reconstruct the history of the pedagogical experiences of the Corporation "Cultura Nómade", a non-profit organization established with the objective of enhancing everyday life (traditions, habits, places) of the inhabitants and/or traders located in Tunja – Boyacá. This article describes the process of the activities of extension, where the theoretical-conceptual research of living documents of the Corporation facilitated the weaving of senses and meanings thus opening new paths. Following a qualitative approach suggests a challenge on reconstructing a collective memory from fragments narrated by the subjects involved in the experience. In addition, the resulting narrative text focuses on evolutions, future developments, senses, and multiple interpretations present in the tensions of power inherent in the pedagogical, organizational, and conceptual processes observed. Finally, the experience of the Corporation "Cultura Nómade" is pedagogical to the extent that it was forged as an emergent organization, where the factor diversity is a different political and philosophical reference that gives the participants the opportunity to learn in an alternative and emancipatory manner, that is to say, beyond the institutional walls, where the local and popular knowledge of the territories is important as it is conceived not in an static way, but as something that evolves identifying some resignifications from collective memory during these twenty years of work, which led to perceive some traces and imprints left in it providing evidence of such University Extension process.
