Práticas de Extensão do Bacharelado de Nutrição da UNL: das vozes dos estudantes

The following article presents the experiences, perceptions and learning of Nutrition Degree students from the Universidad Nacional del Litoral (Argentina), within the framework of participation in an outreach practice integrated into the curriculum.
During 2022, an educational project focused on Nutritional Food Education was carried out at the Provincial School of Visual Arts "Prof. Juan Mantovani" (city of Santa Fe, Argentina), in which 48 students participated from the university level, together with the team of extension teachers; and from the educational establishment, more than 150 schoolchildren, leading teachers and the management team.
Surveys were carried out on the students of the university to know their experience, finding that the majority had not previously carried out educational workshops. Regarding their performance, they valued the experience as positive and enriching; They stated that they had developed various competencies, achieving learning related to the role of the nutritionist and their interaction with the social actor; and they highlighted that, within the skills to be learned, are those of communication, leadership and organization.
The integration of the extension in the curricular programming implies a significant and expansive experience in terms of learning, transformations and growth of the future professionals, from a practice immersed in the concrete social reality. Likewise, Nutritional Food Education is reaffirmed as a valuable tool to implement in schools, promoting healthy eating habits that will represent important changes for future health.
